Table Mountain is a mountain plateau that lies south of Cape Town in South Africa. Mountain's highest point is Maclear's Beacon, 1086 meters above sea level. The top of the mountain forming a 3 km long plateau.

Table Mountain is a popular tourist attraction in the area and on the mountain's western side runs a cable car up to the plateau.

Table Mountain is known for its rich flora, and is protected as part of the Cape Peninsula National Park, which is included in the World Heritage site Cape Floristic Region. There must be 1470 different crops on the mountain, many of which are endemic. Among other things, there are 250 different species of daisies, and many different animal species, including the quirky rock badger.
